With his new album released late last year, John Legend returns with some more high grade ballads to keep his fans happy.
We have seen the growth of this very talented artist from the start and our only criticism with his current album ‘Darkness and Light ‘ is that there is a shortage of songs for the dancefloor.
There is no doubt that Mr Legend can get funky, demonstrated with his earlier collaborations, but with no real signature dance floor song on his current album, it seems to fall short in our eyes.
John says: “The music is really, really good,” he said. “I think it’s my best work yet.” The LP features guest appearances from the likes of Chance the Rapper, Brittany Howard, Miguel, Blake Mills and saxophonist Kamasi Washington.
