Every now and again an artist produces something positive to the public. Veteran Hip Hop artist MC Lyte does just that with her track titled “Dear John.”
Featuring Common and 10Beats, the song’s described as “statements about the condition she chooses to see and her vision for men of colour.”
The song serves as a theme song for#EducateOURMen, which is the signature scholarship initiative of MC Lyte’s Hip Hop Sisters Foundation geared towards sending young Black males to HBCUs.
Putting all that aside its a great song for a much needed foundation.
